$2 for the self-guided tour and $12 for the guided tour which allows you to go inside the mansion. It seems like the guided tour is scheduled every hour and accepted a certain amount of people. Staff are friendly. The landscape and the mansion are beautiful and very well maintained.
We had, in David, a seriously knowledgeable person on the mansion and the Riordans for our tour, This is a state historical park. How the Riordans played a part in the milling and forestry industry, their art awareness, and fairness to workers made me appreciate their legacy more. The home is immaculate and amazing. This is a must-see if you are at all interested in the history of Northern Arizona.
The Riordan Mansion was well worth the stop on our trip! I would highly recommend doing the tour of the inside. It’s cheap and well worth it. Our docent was super knowledgeable and there’s a lot to see inside. It was also fun to walk around the grounds. It’s a perfect way to kill 2 hours!
We had this loosely in our plans, but after walking the Calvary Cemetery has to go learn more. We loved the tour, both the self guided and the guided. The State Parks has done a great job restoring and maintaining the property and it was fun to learn about Flagstaff's early history.
I had such a wonderful time checking out this Hostoric Mansion built in 1904! It's pretty cool to go back in time and see parts of Flagstaff. I highly recommend the tour of the house! Every volunteer and ranger I encountered was extremely welcoming and nice!
We had never heard of this place, but had some time to kill before checkin at our hotel, so we found the entrance (it's behind where we expected!) and went in, deciding to pay for the guided tour. Definitely worth it -- the history was fascinating, and our tour guide was very knowledgable.
There were only four of us on the tour, so Charlotte was able to answer all our questions and let us know everything about both houses, who had lived there and why some things were changed and others are pretty much the same as when the family left it.
This was a nice stop! It only took about 90 minutes. Make sure you get there 20 or 30 minutes before the tours that start at the top of the hour. If you get there late for the last one of the day (4 pm), you may not get on the tour. Plenty to look at while you wait, and the outdoor self-tour was informative and probably worth the couple bucks that they charge. The full tour is worth the price. Remember, a mansion tour is different in an old lumber town than others. This was a cool house with some interesting architectural features and worth the visit. Nothing fancy, but nice for the time period. It reminded me of the Thomas Edison house in Ft. Myers, FL.
This was one of the coolest experiences in Flagstaff. If you're in the area, definitely check it out. The tour guides are so knowledgeable and we had a wonderful time.
